The LSG programme offers Governors and Clerks the opportunity to participate in activities which will:
- Enhance their strategic capacity
- Encourage board compliance with the Instruments and Articles of Government, audit and legislation
- Promote a climate of continuous improvement in board performance
- Engage in the diversity agenda and use it as a platform to manage talent and plan for succession
- Disseminate good practice through regional networks and conferencing
- Promote the board as a learning board
