Self_assessment and quality improvment

Who should attend

Governors and clerks.

Overview

The themes of this workshop are self-assessment;self-improvement; self-regulation. National arrangements for inspection, audit and selfassessment are examined, as well as the governing board's role in monitoring college performance.

Benefits of attending

As the FE system moves towards self-regulation, governing boards need to understand self-assessment and how to self-improve, if they are to be ready to fulfill their enhanced role as custodians of the reputation of FE. This workshop provides the essential foundation for effective selfassessment and improvement of governance performance.
