FE Governance

These events will provide delegates with the opportunity to contribute to the next steps of reform. Delegates will be able to:

• Debate and discuss with the DfES and the LSC current and ongoing developments of reform.

This will include:

- The implementation of the FE White Paper

- The implications of the Education and Inspections Act 2006

- Update on the current FE and Training Bill currently going through Parliament

- Development of the 2007 Instrument & Articles

- The Implications of the Leitch Review of Skills for colleges, the FE System and the regions.

• Network and share views and effective practice with colleagues from their region.

Each event will start with a short update from DfES and LSC representatives on FE Reform. Over dinner delegates will have an opportunity to identify with their colleagues topics and ideas to take forward with DfES and LSC during the after-dinner session.

Places are free and available for Governors, Chairs of Governors and Clerks only. Places are limited to 50 per region and available on a first come first served basis.
