Boardroom Briefings

Leadership Skills for Governance (LSG) offers a number of boardroom briefings, all of which give delegates the opportunity to access up-to-date information on key areas related to FE governance.

All boardroom briefings and inductions can be tailored to be delivered in-house to your governing board, or to a consortium of governors and clerks from your local area.  As well as the inductions and briefings which feature in this programme, the following sessions are also available:

• A Code of Ethics for the FE system
• Advanced Finance and Funding
• Collaborative Working
• Governor Recruitment Strategy Sharing
• How to be a Better Critical Friend
• Leading Equalities from the Top
• Learning to Balance Support with Challenge
• Responding to Learners’ Needs
• Safeguarding Young People and Vulnerable Adults in FE
• Self-regulation
• Understanding Curriculum Issues.

 A maximum of 24 participants are allowed at any briefing or induction. Prices for each session depend on specific requirements, but usually range between £1,000 and £1,500, which works out at £50 to £75 a head based on delivery to a board of 20.
