The Strategic Leadership of Technology and Governance

Dear Colleagues,

Many thanks to you all for attending The Strategic Leadership of Technology and Governance, and making it such a great day.

This post conference page is designed to give you access to all materials from the day, as well as provide you with the information you may have missed out on if you were unable to attend.

 Overview

The overall focus of this event was to develop the governors and clerks understanding of the need for the strategic leadership of technology and its likely impact on their governing board and the work of their colleges.

 All delegates were exposed to the benefits of;

  • Learning how to take forward the requirements of the government's Harnessing Technology for Further Education, Skills and Regeneration initiative which was published in spring 2008.
  • Understanding how the strategy provides a means by which colleges can benchmark themselves against standards of excellence.
  • Were informed of the impact of technology on colleges and governance.
  • Now understand how technology can assist with an evolving context of greater autonomy and shared-regulation.
