Participants will develop the understanding and skills in the following:-
  •   leadership qualities we need to have in place to drive equalities and diversity into the organisation culture and mainframe.
  •    how your organisation can meet its legal equalities duties-assurance of success
  •    making equalities central to policy, practice and decision making
  •   linking equalities to the organisation- core business
  •   making a success of equality and diversity networks/committees
  •    tools and strategies to tackle unfair practices, as well how to implement inclusive and cohesive working cultures
This is an interactive and engaging session, offering participants the opportunity to share effective practice and to raise issues of concern for debate and discussion.


Embedding Equalities through Succession Planning

7th January 2009

The session will focus on the following:-
  •   how to embed equalities at the outset of succession planning, using the following tools: equality impact assessment and equality audit.
  •    show how equalities legislation can support you to be more effective at succession planning and talent management.
  •   how to actively manage the talent pool, through identifying, maintaining and developing the diversity in the workforce.
  •    how to implement the legal obligations that your organisation has in relation to equalities, and employment.
  •    clarify your leadership role in relation to succession planning and diversity and equality.
  •  Equip participants in order to enhance their performance management targets around the areas of equalities and diversity in both employment and service requirements.


Organisational Change Approach to Equalities

The session will focus on
  •     Use of organisational development tools to improve individual behaviours, the organisations culture and attitudes towards equalities
  •  building capacity and working with participants to develop strong leadership on equalities through coaching and supervision.  
  •     the role and use of equality impact assessments in the organisational and cultural change process

Fees
£120 per delegate per session.
3 for 2 Register for all three sessions, and you will only pay the cost of attending 2 sessions
